The project design has been premised on the leveraging of working partnerships with government agencies, at the national and regional levels, local government units at the district and village levels, community-based organizations, non-government organizations and private sector businesses in the implementation of all project outputs and activities.
Beyond UNDP-administered resources, the project benefits from substantial co-financing commitments totaling USD 26,686,000.
These co-financers include the Government of Tanzania, the Global Environment Facility (GEF), UNDP, and other institutions such as e Vice President’s Office (VPO), Prime Minister’s Office, Regional Administration and Local Government (PMORALG), Tanzania Forest Fund, EAMCEF, MJUMITA and TNC.
